What's New at Zenerate

Updated on June 23, 2026

We're excited to introduce a new round of updates focused on making Zenerate faster, more flexible, and easier to use. This release includes the launch of Data Center AI Generation, allowing users to generate and customize server room layouts directly from infrastructure requirements. We've also expanded editing capabilities with improved snapping behavior, powerful new multiselect tools, a more intuitive duplication workflow, and additional building design controls. Together, these enhancements streamline common tasks, reduce repetitive editing, and give users greater control when exploring and refining design options.

šŸ Data Center AI Generation

Data Center AI Generation is now available.

In AI Generation > Data Center Preset, users can select a preset type and start from a default preset card. After selecting a preset, users can customize key inputs such as:

• Rack & Cooling Setup
• Program Input
• Program Mix
• Input Type: Area-Based or MW-Based

You can also select a building inside the Workspace and regenerate its internal layout.

🧲 Snap Improvements

We improved the snap behavior across editing workflows. Snapping now feels more stable and natural, especially when moving or aligning elements.

šŸ–±ļø Multiselect in Building Edit Mode

Users can now select multiple elements in the building edit stage and control them more efficiently.

Supported multiselect methods include:

• Drag to select multiple elements
• Shift + click to add or remove elements from the selection
• Shift + drag to select multiple elements

Supported areas include:

• Residential buildings: Core, Room/Area, Units
• Podium buildings: Parking elements, Core, Room/Area, Units
• Driveway mode: Stalls
• Server Room: Racks and CRAC units

🧭 Multiselect for Street and Setback

Users can now control multiple project setup edges more easily.

Street Multiselect

• Select multiple streets by dragging

• After selection, clicking the Street updates all selected edges

Setback Multiselect

• Select multiple setbacks by dragging
• After selection, entering a setback value applies the same value to all selected setbacks

ā–¶ļø Updated Duplicate Flow

The Duplicate flow has been improved.

When users click Duplicate, they can now choose the direction in which the selected element will be copied. Users can select one of four directions, making duplication more predictable and efficient.

šŸ“ Unit - Snap to Corridor Option Added

A new Snap to Corridor option has been added for units.

When enabled, units stay snapped to the corridor while being moved. When disabled, users can move units freely without corridor snapping.

šŸ—ļø Corridor and Balcony Roof/Parapet View Options

New Coverage Options have been added under Building View Option > Roof.

Users can now choose whether corridors and balconies are covered by the roof. For example, disabling roof coverage for corridors allows users to create an open corridor building type.

The selected 3D roof settings are also reflected in the 2D view.
